Wendy Keene
Wendy has been training dogs for more than 16 years, starting with Lilah, her Shetland
Sheepdog. Since she started training with Lilah, she has continued her personal training
with her dogs including Hooch, a Rottweiler, and now with her Bernese Mountain Dogs.
Wendy has been teaching for more than 30 years as a private music teacher. Over the
years, she has taught hundreds of students, ranging in age from 3 to 80, to play the
violin, viola or cello. She also has experience conducting student orchestra groups.
For the past ten years, Wendy has been a volunteer instructor at Merrimac Dog Training
Club in Hampton, Virginia, teaching a wide range of classes including puppy
kindergarten, basic and advanced obedience, Canine Good Citizen classes, and Rally
Obedience classes. She is currently a Certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
Wendy is currently training her dogs for the conformation ring as well in traditional and
rally obedience, carting and freestyle.
