| New to Conformation Dog Shows Lecture Seminar (NO DOGS!) August 17, 2008 Just Say K9 Sports, Inc. is pleased to present this full-day seminar for handlers that are new to the Conformation Ring. All aspects of showing your dog will be covered. No experience necessary! The following subjects will be covered: * Gaiting including the down and back, triangle and “L” pattern. * Hard and free stacking. * Judge’s exam. * Equipment (collars, leashes, grooming and other). * How to find a dog show. * Requesting the show premium and how to read it. * Filling out the entry form and submitting it. * Progression to an AKC Championship. * The Road to Best In Show. * Going to the show (what to wear, how to get there, reading the judging program). * Arriving ring-side and the job of the Steward. * Ring procedure. Date: August 17, 2008 (Registration Deadline: July 6, 2008) Cost per Handler: $85 ($5 discount for 2 or more registrations sent together) Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with 1 hour 15 minute lunch break (on your own). Snacks/cold drinks will be provided for morning and afternoon breaks. Location: Just Say K9 Sports, Inc., inside A place 4 Pets, 1213-G George Washington Memorial Hwy, Yorktown, VA.
