It is with great sadness that I note Klarsson's passing on April 24, 2009. He went peacefully,
surrounded by the ones who loved him the most, assisted by Dr. Brittany Ashworth at Poquoson
Veterinary Hospital. He had a very large tumor in his abdomen, centered around his spleen,
causing all of his internal organs to be pushed to one side. The tumor was suspected to be
malignant. Klarsson hopefully didn't suffer as he first showed signs of problems on Thursday
evening, late, and crossed the Rainbow Bridge at about 11:15 on Friday morning. He will
always be my first Bernese and my bestest Berner boy ever.
